Welcome

Hi there and thanks for visiting. I’m Liz Ross and I am an actor, voice over artist, writer, producer, and graphic artist, depending on the day (on most days I’m more than one of the above.)

I’m also a Co-Artistic Director of Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA and it’s been a very busy time for us.  Winterfest 2018 is off and running with 17 plays in 4 weeks.  We just closed LA Fest, our celebration of the diverse voices of Los Angeles. We had 2 full weekends of programs and playwrights featuring voices of color, of LGBTQIA+ community, and veterans’ stories. The end of this year saw Launchpad, a 2-week staged reading series that followed MICE a new play by Schaeffer Nelson, the first production out of our NeWest Playwrights group. It was wonderfully received by both the audiences and the press. Come see what’s on our stage! We’d love to have you.

This all comes fast on the heels of our very first True Story production, the Ovation Nominated WET: A DACAmented Journey written by Alex Alpharaoh and directed by Kevin Comartin which has received so much support and critical success that it was remounted on our stage in October. Alex just finished a residency at Hi-ARTs in NYC with tremendous support from Arts Emerson. Please stay tuned for the next step for this powerful piece of storytelling with a purpose. For more information about WET and to see some of the press response please visit dacamentedjourney.com.

“True Story…” is an ongoing series that I’m producing and using to develop my personal essay writing. It is our regularly scheduled storytelling program of true stories written and read by EST/LA members and close friends. Please like our Facebook page or go to estlosangeles.org for more details and come by if you can. Our next event is Sunday, February 11th at 7:30pm.

We write new pieces each time to a theme and next up is:
• IF ONLY…

I’ve also been busy branding and designing licensed toy products that can be found in Target and Walmart, Go Games! Stores, as well as creating presentation graphics seen at Comic-Con in both San Diego and New York. On my desk right now is artwork for The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, LEGO Dimensions, Shopkins, and The At-Choo Foundation.  There’s a lot going on over here. For my design work please meander over to my newly refreshed design site, lizzyross.com.

Please hop around this site to hear voice over samples and check back now and then and I’ll post more updates and links to my work.

Wishing you all the best.
